Golf Predictions: Who will win The Greenbrier Classic? 7/5/17
The 2017 Greenbrier Classic will tee off early on Thursday morning. Here are some of the golfers we like to contend for the victory, our Golf Predictions for this tournament.
ODDS
According to the latest oddsmakers, Patrick Reed and Kevin Kisner are now co-favorites to win, as each has 14/1 odds to prevail, while Bill Haas has 18/1odds. The Greenbrier Classic takes place Thursday-Sunday from The Old White TPC in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
GOLF PREDICTIONS
KEVIN KISNER
Kevin Kisner has been a reliable player all year on the PGA Tour, as he has missed just one cut in 14 tournaments. Kisner also has a win to his credit with five top-10 finishes. Now the 24th-ranked golfer is heading to a tournament that was very good to him in 2015. He finished second, losing in a playoff. Kisner shouldn’t have an issue making the cut and I think he will end up being the one to beat this weekend.
PHIL MICKELSON
After some time off, Phil Mickelson is back in action this week and listed with 20/1 odds. I like those odds for Lefty, who has yet to miss a cut this season. Prior to his break, he had finished ninth in the St. Jude Classic. I think Mickelson will come back fresh and continue where he left off. With this field lacking in much star power, Mickelson should be able to climb the leaderboard.
CHARLES HOWELL III
Charles Howell III is listed with 40/1 odds for the weekend, but I also think there is some good value in him. Howell is like Mickelson, he has yet to get cut from a tournament in 2017. He has placed in 11 and finished in the top-10 in four of them. Howell has placed second in two tournaments, including last week’s Quicken Loans National. Look for Howell to build off that big showing this week and push for his first win since 2007.
