NBA Prediction: Can the Cavs cover in Game 2 vs. the Raptors? 5/3/17
Will the Cleveland Cavaliers roll past the Toronto Raptors one again when the two teams meet at 7PM ET in Game 2 of their series? Here is our NBA Prediction for Wednesday.
GAME 2 ODDS
According to oddsmakers, the Cavaliers are the clear favorite in Game 1, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Raptors. The over/under total for the game is listed at 213.5 points.
RECORDS
Cleveland took Game 1 of the series on Monday night, 116-105. The Cavs covered the 7-point spread in the process. Cleveland comes into tonight’s game 56-31 overall, 34-10 at home and 39-45-3 against the spread. Toronto is 55-34 overall, 25-20 on the road and 48-40-1 against the spread.
GAME 1 RECAP
In Game 1, Cleveland jumped out fast on Toronto and never looked back. The Cavs had a 30-18 lead after the first quarter and held off the Raptors from there. Cleveland shot 39-of-85 from the floor and 14-of-34 from 3-point land in the win.
LeBron James put up 35 points and 10 rebounds while Kyrie Irving had 24 points with 10 assists. The Raptors were led by Kyle Lowry, who had 20 points and 11 assists. DeMar DeRozan added 19 points and seven rebounds.
NBA PREDICTION
The Cavs looked nice and fresh in Game 1 and didn’t start slowly. Cleveland was just too much for Toronto to defend, especially LeBron James. The Cavs have the edge in this series, especially when they are on their game as they were in Game 1
The Raptors are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven meetings with the Cavs overall and in their last seven meetings at Cleveland. Look for LeBron to have another dominant performance tonight to lead the Cavs to a cover over the Raptors.
