Will Tennessee upset SEC rival Florida when the conference foes square off today at 3:30PM ET?

According to oddsmakers, the Gators are 5.5-point home favorites to win this afternoon. The Vols opened as a 5.5-point underdog, but the line was bet down to 4 before climbing back to the original number.
As for the total, the number hit the board at 49 points. It didn’t stay there, however. At the majority of sports books, the over/under dropped to 48.5.

The Volunteers are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games and are 1-4 against the number in their last five conference games. They’re also just 2-5 against the number in their last seven games in September and have dropped 8 of their last 29 games (with one push) against the spread coming off a win of more than 20 points.
Florida Betting Trends
The Gators are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games in September and are 2-7-1 against the number in their last 10 home games. On the other side, Florida is 20-8 against the spread in their last 28 games following a bye week and are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous contest.
Our Prediction
The Gators will start redshirt freshman Feleipe’ Franks in this matchup today. He struggled in the team’s opener against Michigan, completing 5-of-9 passes for 75 yards before being benched. Notre Dame trasnfer Malik Zaire wasn’t much better, but Franks will draw the start again today.
Florida’s defense is outstanding, but the offense remains stuck in mud under Jim McElwain. Tennessee isn’t Michigan from a defensive standpoint, but the Vols still have plenty of talent.
Tennessee exercised demons a year ago by beating Florida. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Vols pull off the feat for a second straight season.
