The Pitching Matchup: Homer Bailey (CIN) vs. Kyle Freeland (COL)

Bailey has made two starts this season and has only pitched 4 2/3 innings. He is 0-2 over those two teams and owns a 27.00 ERA. In his first outing of the year, he allowed eight runs on six hits in an 18-3 loss to the Nationals. He followed up that performance by surrendering six runs on six hits over three innings at home against the Brewers.

Freeland, meanwhile, is 8-6 on the year and owns a 3.84 ERA over 93 2/3 innings pitched. In his last outing, he allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings in a 5-3 loss to the Giants. He struck out just two batters in that performance but walked only one.
