The Odds: Giants vs. Braves, 7:35PM ET, SunTrust Park

According to oddsmakers, the Giants are favored on the road tonight despite losing six straight. San Francisco is -126 money line favorites to knock off Atlanta, which is +116 underdogs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 9.5 runs, up a half-run from the original number of 9.

The Pitching Matchup: Johnny Cueto (SF) vs. R.A. Dickey (ATL)

Cueto allowed five runs on 10 hits in his last outing, which came last Wednesday in a 7-2 loss to the Royals. Mike Moustakas took Cueto deep in the second inning, while Jorge Bonifacio and Lorenzo Cain struck for home runs in the third inning. As for Dickey, he was hit hard in a losing effort last Tuesday. He allowed eight runs on eight hits over five-plus innings versus the Nationals in that start. The 42-year-old knuckleballer struck out six on the night and didn’t walk a single batter. That said, Ryan Zimmerman hit a solo home run in the first inning and a two-run shot in the sixth. Dickey enters play tonight with a 4-5 record and a 5.35 ERA.

Our Prediction

In the Giants’ last seven games overall, the over is 5-1-1 over that span. In their last 12 games following a loss, the over is 8-2-2. In their last 14 games when Cueto starts, the over is 9-4-1.

On the other side, the over is 4-1-1 in Dickey’s last six starts. It has also cashed in four of Dickey’s last five home starts and is 4-1 in his last five outings after scoring five runs or more in their previous game.
