PITCHING MATCHUP
The pitching matchup for today’s game has Jesse Chavez (4-6, 4.68 ERA) on the mound for the Angels to face Daniel Norris (2-3, 4.47) of the Tigers.
Norris has been shaky this season, allowing 27 earned runs in 54.1 innings of work. He has 48 strikeouts with 24 walks and a WHIP of 1.60. MLB PREDICTION
Neither pitcher should be dominant on the mound today, but I feel better about the Detroit lineup at home. The Angels are without their best bat and they still weren’t putting up great run numbers with him. The Tigers seemed to find a spark against the White Sox this weekend and that should carry over against Chavez.
