Updated 2017 World Series Odds: Is it the Dodgers’ year? 7/12/17

Nationals vs. Astros Prediction

The second half of the 2017 MLB season kicks off on Friday. Which team is favored to win it all this season? Here’s a look at the 2017 World Series odds.

2017 World Series Odds: The Favorite

According to oddsmakers, the Los Angeles Dodgers have +350 odds to win the Fall Classic in 2017. The Dodgers are 61-29 at the break and 7.5 games ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Their +163 run differential is the best in baseball, one ahead of the Houston Astros. Speaking of…

The Challenger

The Astros have the next-best odds to win the World Series at +425. They’re 60-29 at the break and a whopping 16.5 games up on the Angels and Rangers in the American League West. The scary thing for opponents in the American League is that Houston isn’t even completely healthy. Dallas Keuchel (neck) should be ready to rejoin the rotation at some point this month.

Other Contenders

The Boston Red Sox have +600 odds to win the World Series this season, followed by the Washington Nationals at +700. Two teams have +800 odds and ironically, they faced each other in the World Series last year. The Cubs and Indians are +800, respectively, to win the Fall Classic. Chicago has really struggled this season while Cleveland is in first place, but is just 2.5 games up on Minnesota.

The Long Shots

The Yankees are +1400 to win the World Series, followed by the Diamondbacks at +1600. The slumping Rockies and surprising Brewers are both +2500, respectively, while the Kansas City Royals are +3300. The Blue Jays and Cardinals are each +5000, respectively, while the Twins and Rays are +6600, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Mariners, Rangers, Orioles and Angels are deep long-shots at +7500. The Mets, Tigers and Pirates are all +10000, followed by the Braves at +15000.
