NFL Odds Report: Elliott to play, line moves in Giants-Cowboys Matchup

Cowboys vs Broncos

Suspended Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will play Week 1 against the Giants and that has forced oddsmakers to adjust the line.

Elliott to play Week 1

NFL arbitrator Harold Henderson upheld Elliott’s six-game ban after the running back’s appeal process came to a close on Tuesday evening. Since the appeal wasn’t settled before the 4:00PM ET deadline, Elliott is eligible to play Sunday night. A ruling on his temporary restraining order is expected by Friday evening at the latest. His status for Week 2 is still up in the air.

Giants vs. Cowboys Odds Movement

According to oddsmakers, the Cowboys are 4-point home favorites for Sunday night. Dallas opened as a 5.5-point favorite but when Elliott was suspended, that number dropped to 3.5. Now the line is back up slightly.

As for the total, the number hit the board at 49.5 but has been bet down. At most online and Vegas sports books, the over/under is sitting at 47.5 points.
