Will Central Michigan pull off a small upset on Friday afternoon? The Chippewas will clash with Wyoming in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. ET.

According to oddsmakers, the Cowboys are now 3-point favorites to beat the Chips. The game opened as a pick’em but once oddsmakers assumed Josh Allen would start for Wyoming, the line jumped to a field goal. As for the total, the number hit the board at 46.5 but is down to 45.

The Chippewas enter play with an 8-4 record and a 7-5-1 mark against the spread. As for the Cowboys, they’re 7-5 straight up and 7-5 at the betting window.

Central Michigan Injury Report

The Chips are relatively healthy heading into this bowl matchup. Michael Steinhauer is questionable with an undisclosed injury and Brandon Childress has been out for the season since September. Those are the only players listed on CMU’s injury report.

Wyoming Injury Report

Allen is expected to play but guard Kaden Jackson is doubtful with a knee injury. Conner Cain, meanwhile, is out for the season due to an ankle injury. Offensive lineman Jace Webb is also doubtful with a concussion.

Central Michigan has cashed in five straight games at the betting window. The Chippewas are also 4-0 against the number in their last four games coming off a win. They’re also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games when playing an opponent with a winning record. Finally, the Chips have cashed in 11 of their last 14 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.

On the other side, the Cowboys are 2-6 against the spread in their last eight non-conference games. They’re also just 1-4 against the number in their last five games versus MAC opponents. Finally, they’re 1-5 ATS in their last six games on Friday.
