NHL Predictions: Will the Knights upset the Blackhawks? 10/24/17

NHL Predictions

Will the Chicago Blackhawks be able to go on the road and get past the Vegas Golden Knights when they meet up at 10PM ET? Here’s our NHL Predictions for this contest.

ODDS

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Blackhawks are favored heavily on the road, as they are getting odds of -165 to win, while the Golden Knights are getting a money line of +145 to win. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 6 goals. Tonight’s contest takes place from the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

BLACKHAWKS

Chicago is coming off a 4-2 win over Arizona on the road on Saturday. The Blackhawks are now 5-2-2 on the season overall and 2-1-1 on the road. Chicago is averaging 3.56 goals per game on offense while allowing 2.44 per game. Patrick Kane is leading the team with 11 points while Brandon Saad is leading the team with six goals. In net, Corey Crawford is putting up a 1.86 GAA with a .945 save percentage over seven appearances.

GOLDEN KNIGHTS

Vegas is 6-1 this season following a 3-2 OT win over the Blues. The Knights are 4-1 at home this season as well. Vegas is putting up 3.29 goals per game on offense while allowing 2.43 per contest. James Neal is putting up a team-high six goals while Reilly Smith is adding seven points. Marc-Andre Fleury is dealing with a concussion and Malcolm Subban has an injury as well. That leaves the Knights with Oscar Dansk in net.

NHL PREDICTIONS

I like what the Knights are doing but, I don’t think lines up well for tonight’s first encounter with the Blackhawks. Vegas is down to a third goaltender and that isn’t likely to go well against a Chicago team that has the ability to score in handfuls. The public is backing the Blackhawks strongly and I think they will be right.

NHL PREDICTIONS: CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS -165
