Will the Wizards stay hot at home vs. Celtics? NBA Prediction 5/12/17
Will the home team stay dominant when the Washington Wizards host the Boston Celtics meet in Game 6 of the series tonight at 8PM ET? Here’s our NBA Prediction for Game 6.
GAME 6 ODDS
According to oddsmakers, Washington is favored at home, as the Wizards are getting odds of -5 points against the Celtics. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 216 points.
RECORDS
The home team has taken all five games in this series after Boston picked up a 123-101 victory in Game 5 on Wednesday. The winning team has also covered the spread in all five games, as the average winning margin in the series is 18 points.
Washington comes into tonight 55-38 overall, 35-11 at home and 47-45-1 against the spread. Boston is 60-33 overall, 26-20 on the road and 47-44-2 against the spread.
GAME 5 RECAP
The Celtics got some great play out of their supporting cast in Game 5. Isaiah Thomas scored just 18 points and they still won by 22 points. Avery Bradley scored 29 points on 12-of-19 shooting while Al Horford had 19 points and Jae Crowder had 18.
The Wizards really struggled shooting, going just 35-of-91 from the field and 7-of-29 from 3-point land. Bradley Beal came up shy, putting up 16 points on 7-of-19 shooting. John Wall had 21 points on 7-of-17 shooting.
NBA PREDICTION
The home team has been great so far this series and I think it will again tonight. Washington won’t shoot this poorly at home and the Celtics won’t get the same scoring output from its role players.
Thomas could have a big game, but I think Wall will be able to out-perform him with his scoring and passing. This series seems almost certain to go seven games. Don’t expect a thriller tonight.
