Will bettors cash over when Brewers host Braves? MLB Predictions 4/29/17
Will bettors be able to cash the over again tonight when the Brewers host the Braves at 7:10PM ET?
The Odds
According to oddsmakers, the Brewers are -125 money line favorites for tonight’s game. The Braves, meanwhile, have odds of +115 to pull off the upset in Milwaukee. And with Jaime Garcia set to face Jimmy Nelson in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9 runs.
Garcia getting better for Braves
Garcia allowed two runs on five hits over six innings of work last Saturday in the Braves’ loss to the Phillies. He struck out six while walking one in his six innings and has gotten better each outing this year. Over 23 1/3 combined innings of work this season, Garcia owns a 4.24 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP.
Nelson coming off rough outing vs. Cubs
Nelson surrendered seven runs on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings last Tuesday in a 9-7 loss to the Cubs. While the team fell, Nelson escaped with a no-decision. He struck out three and walked one while giving up home runs to Kyle Schwarber and Miguel Montero. Nelson now owns a 4.56 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP over 23 2/3 combined innings in 2017.
MLB Predictions
The combined score has gone over in five of the Brewers’ last five games at home and is 5-0 in their last five games overall. With Eric Thames mashing, plus the threats of Jonathan Villar and Ryan Bruan, the over should continue to cash in Milwaukee. The Braves have also scored eight, five and 10 runs over their last three games, so it’s not as if Atlanta isn’t producing offense either.
