Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State Week 10 Predictions Against the Spread 11/4/17

Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State

Are the Oklahoma Sooners a good bet to pull off a small upset on Saturday when it visits Oklahoma State in the Bedlam Game?

The Matchup: Oklahoma at Oklahoma State, 4:00 p.m. ET, Stillwater

The Sooners enter play with a 7-1 record overall, which includes a 3-0 record on the road. They’re also 4-4 against the spread this season but are just 1-2 against the number as a road team.

The Cowboys, meanwhile, are also 7-1 on the year and 2-1 at home. Their only loss of the season came at home against a nasty TCU Horned Frogs defense. Oklahoma State is also 5-3 at the betting window this season, including 2-1 ATS at home.

The Odds: Oklahoma State a small favorite

According to oddsmakers, the Cowboys are now 1.5-point home favorites versus the Sooners. Oklahoma opened as a 3-point road underdog before the number dropped. As for the total, it currently sits at 75.5 points after hitting the board at 74.

Oklahoma Sooners

The Sooners are 8-1 against the spread in their last nine games versus an opponent that owns a winning record. In their last eight games played in November, Oklahoma is 6-2 against the number. That said, OU is 2-5 at the betting window in its last seven road games and has dropped four of its last five conference games against the spread.

Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Cowboys enter play with a 13-3 record against the spread in their last 16 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game. They’re also 7-1 at the betting window in their last eight games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous contest. Finally, in their last five games after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game, Oklahoma State is a perfect 5-0 against the spread.

Our Prediction

It’s tough to bet against Baker Mayfield and that dynamic Oklahoma offense when the Sooners are the underdog. Mayfield out-played heralded Ok State quarterback Mason Rudolph a year ago in Norman and I expect him to do so again today. The team that has the ball last is most likely to win and if the ball is in Mayfield’s hands, I like my chances.
