NHL Predictions: Will the Blackhawks hold off the Predators?
Will the Chicago Blackhawks get a measure of revenge and beat the Nashville Predators in Chicago tonight at 8:30PM ET? Here’s our NHL Predictions for this game.
ODDS
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Blackhawks are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -125 to win, while the Predators are getting a money line of +105 to win. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 5.5 goals. Tonight’s game takes place from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois and will air live on the NHL Network.
PREDATORS
Nashville is coming off a 3-2 shootout loss at home to Calgary on Tuesday. The Predators are now 4-3-2 on the season and 1-3-1 on the road. Nashville is putting up 2.56 goals per game while also allowing 2.56 per contest. Filip Forsberg is leading the team with seven goals and five assists while P.K. Subban has added eight points. Pekka Rinne has a 1.99 GAA this season with a .933 save percentage.
BLACKHAWKS
Chicago is coming off a 4-2 loss at Vegas on Tuesday night. The Blackhawks are now 5-3-2 on the season and 3-1-1 at home. Chicago is putting up 3.40 goals per game this season while allowing 2.60 per game. Patrick Kane has five goals and seven assists to lead the team while Brandon Saad has six goals with three assists. Corey Crawford has a 2.13 GAA and a .937 save percentage in net.
NHL PREDICTIONS
These two have a rivalry brewing after the Predators swept the Blackhawks in the playoffs last year. These two met already once this season, with Chicago earning a 2-1 OT win at home on Oct. 14. Nashville is just 1-7 in their last eight road games and I think the Predators have trouble scoring on the road again tonight. The public is behind Chicago strongly tonight. I think the Blackhawks get another measure of revenge.
