NHL Predictions: How Is Vegas Doing This? 10/13/17

NHL Predictions

30 teams in the NHL spent countless resources on scouting, analytics, salary cap sciences, and training in order to round out the roster that best gives them the chance to win. All the expansion Vegas Golden Knights had to do was pick up a bunch of players from the scrap heap that other teams didn’t protect and they’re suddenly starting off the year 3-0. The Detroit Red Wings come to town fighting off some Twitter shade, and looking to continue a hot start of their own for NHL Predictions Detroit Vegas 10/13/17.

Odds

It’s a matchup of one of the Original Six against Number 31 but the oddsmakers have made the hometown team -128 favorites. The Golden Knights will be making their unofficial home debut after Tuesday’s official home debut was dedicated more towards honoring the victims and first responders  of the Mandalay Bay shooting. A bet on Detroit to get the win pays back +116 but over 65% of the public is on Vegas.

Detroit Red Wings

The ‘Vegas Edge’ will be put a science experiment for fans on Friday night and not just because Highland Drive and the Spearmint Rhino is only 9 minutes from Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Stadium. No, the Red Wings come in for NHL Predictions Detroit Vegas 10/13/17 on the second leg of a back-to-back after a win in Arizona last night. Friday marks the third game in four nights for the Red Wings but it’s Vegas- who needs sleep?

Las Vegas Knights

Vegas has been a cool story so far this year but it’s important not to get ahead of yourself. Their three wins on the year have come against Dallas, Arizona, and Arizona again – a combined one win total on the year. It doesn’t mean the Golden Knights haven’t performed however. James Neal has five points in three games and Marc Andre-Fleury has allowed only four goals in 107 shots (.963) and his 1.32 GAA is 2nd in the NHL.

NHL Predictions Detroit Vegas 10/13/17

Since the game is in Vegas, it’s not sure if Detroit playing last night actually helps them or if the Golden Knights would have had more luck if the Red Wings had an off day in the Sin City. Detroit did make the hour flight in to Vegas last night and it’s very possible they could have been celebrating the 4-2 win over the Coyotes. This early in the year and until you see how teams react to a night in Vegas, the only pick is on sluggish play.

Pick: Vegas Knights -128
