NHL Predictions: Anaheim / Colorado Toss Up. 10/13/17

NHL Predictions Anaheim Colorado 10/13/17

It’s only a five game slate in the NHL tonight but it’s action packed. One game drawing eyes from fans and bettors is the 2-1-1 Anaheim Ducks taking on the 3-1 Colorado Avalanche. Anaheim has seemingly righted their ship with a win over the Islanders after they had lost two in a row – including at home to the Calgary Flames who hadn’t won there seemingly since Eisenhower was in office. The Avalanche say bring it on for the NHL Predictions Anaheim Colorado 10/13/17 as they just got done beating up on the Bruins twice in three days.

Odds

The oddsmakers thought they’d let bettors rip into this one anyway they want opening up at Anaheim -104 and Colorado -106. Despite the bets being split literally 50/50 eight hours prior to the game, the odds have shifted to Anaheim -117 and Colorado to an underdog at +106. This movement in the NHL Predictions Anaheim Colorado 10/13/17  is especially interesting considering tonight is the first time the Ducks have migrated to a game away from the Honda Center this season.

Anaheim Ducks

You’d probably get cut off at the bar if you predicted that Calgary and the expansion Vegas team would be sitting atop the Pacific division at any time this year. That’s exactly who the Ducks are trailing though as they sit in 4th place in a division they’ve won five straight years. Granted we’re only a week into the 2017 season and Anaheim is only a point out of first – but tonight is still important.

Colorado Avalanche

Colorado continues to be the Rodney Dangerfield of the NHL this year as they get no respect from the oddsmakers, being listed as underdogs in every game this year – three of which they’ve won SU. Colorado is playing only their second home game of the night but will be in the midst of 3 games in 4 nights as they travel to Dallas tomorrow (p.s – a game to keep on eye on odds-wise) so they’ll want a win over the visiting Ducks too.

NHL Predictions Anaheim Colorado 10/13/17

Both teams have put up a solid W/L record this year but it could also be as a result of some inferior opponents early  in the year. That being said, Colorado has done better against said foes ranking 6th in both goals for and goals against on the year. The Avalanche beat the Bruins by a combined 10-3 score the last two games and will be invigorated playing in only their second home game of the year.

Pick: Colorado +106
