NHL Prediction: Will the Senators go up 3-1 on the Penguins? 5/19/17
Will the Pittsburgh Penguins find a way to even up the series when they meet up with the Ottawa Senators tonight at 8PM ET in Game 4? Here is our NHL Prediction for tonight’s game.
GAME 4 ODDS
According to oddsmakers, the Penguins are the favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -115 to win. The Senators are listed with odds of -105 at home, while the over/under total has been set at 5 goals.
RECORDS
Ottawa established a 2-1 lead in the series with a 5-1 victory in Game 3. The Senators have now won four of their last five meetings with the Penguins.
Ottawa is 54-32-11 overall and 27-12-9 at home. Pittsburgh is 59-25-13 overall and 23-18-7 on the road.
GAME 3 RECAP
Ottawa rolled from the start, picking up a 4-0 lead in the first 13 minutes of the game. Mike Hoffman, Marc Methot, Derick Brassard and Zack Smith each found the net in the first. Kyle Turris added a goal late in the second to make it 5-0.
Sidney Crosby had a power-play goal in the third to avoid a shutout. Craig Anderson had 25 saves in the win for Ottawa. Marc-Andre Fleury was pulled after allowing four goals on nine shots.
NHL PREDICTION
Ottawa has posed plenty of problems for Pittsburgh thus far in the series. While Pittsburgh seems to have to better talent, the Penguins aren’t showing that on the ice. The Senators looked great at home and I am sure they have to be in the head of Fleury.
Anderson should be building in confidence after holding the Pens to just three goals in three games. I think he will continue to play well at home and should lead Ottawa to another victory and a commanding series lead.
NHL Prediction – Ottawa Senators -105
