NFL Week 2 Predictions: Will Redskins upset Rams Sunday? 9/17/17

Rams vs Falcons

Will the Redskins pull even after two weeks or will the Rams improved to 2-0 with a victory in Week 2?

The Odds: Redskins at Rams, 4:25PM ET, Los Angeles

According to oddsmakers, Los Angeles is now a 2.5-point home favorite to beat Washington. The Redskins opened as 1.5-point road favorite when the NFL lines were first released. Since then, the number jumped the fence.

As for the total, the number hit the board at 46 but has been bet down at the majority of sports books. Currently, the over/under for this game sits at 45.5 points.

Washington Redskins Betting Trends

The Redskins are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games following an ATS loss and are 5-0 against the number in their last five games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game. They’re also 9-2 at the betting window in their last 11 road games.

Los Angeles Rams Betting Trends

The Rams are just 1-6-1 against the number in their last eight home games despite covering a week ago against the Colts. They’re also 0-7-1 against the spread in their last eight games versus NFC opponents and have failed to cover in seven of their last eight games overall.

Our Prediction

I don’t like this spot for the Redskins. Following a Week 1 home loss to division rival Philadelphia, Washington must fly cross-country to take on a Rams team flying high off a victory last weekend. Granted, that victory came against a horrendous Colts team, but Los Angeles is confident. Plus, L.A. is also getting its defensive player back in Aaron Donald following a holdout. I like L.A. to get to 2-0.

NFL Week 2 Prediction: Los Angeles Rams -2.5
