Our Prediction
After setting records a year ago offensively, the Falcons are a prime regression candidate. They have a new offensive coordinator in Steve Sarkisian, who takes over for now-49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan. If Week 1 was any indication, the Falcons will go from averaging 30-plus points in 2016, to mid-20s this year. Don’t get it twisted: Atlanta will score plenty in 2017. But it could take awhile for this team to fire on all cylinders.
Meanwhile, the Packers look improved defensively. They lost both of their games in Atlanta last season, including in the NFC Championship Game. I like Aaron Rodgers in a revenge spot getting points.
