NFL: Seahawks at Cardinals Predictions Against the Spread 11/9/17
Will the Seahawks rebound from their loss to the Redskins last week with a win over the Cardinals tonight on Thursday night?
The Matchup: Seahawks at Cardinals, 8:25 p.m. ET, Thursday
According to oddsmakers, Seattle is now a 6-point road favorite over Arizona. The Cardinals opened as 5-point home underdogs but the line jumped a full point. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 41 points after hitting the board at 42.5
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks will once again be without free safety Earl Thomas, who is doubtful with a hamstring injury. He’ll miss his second straight game but does have a chance to return after Week 10.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Graham was removed from this week’s injury report due to an ankle injury. The tight end missed practice the last two days, but was upgraded to full on Wednesday. With Paul Richardson, questionable, Graham should see an increase in targets.
Arizona Cardinals
Adrian Peterson is coming off an impressive performance in Santa Clara last week. He carried the rock 37 times for 159 yards and those 37 carries was a record for a running back aged 30 years or older. The previous record was held by 32-year-old Jerome Bettis, who rushed 36 times in 2014. Bruce Arians figures to lean on A.P. again tonight.
Our Prediction
I realize the Seahawks lost outright as an 8-point home favorite last week to the Redskins but Blair Walsh missed three field goals and the team had several big plays called back due to penalties. Seattle is a perfect 4-0 against the spread in its last four games in Arizona while the road team has cashed in all five of the past five meetings between these two teams.
