According to oddsmakers, the Cowboys are 6-point home underdogs for tonight’s game. The Eagles opened as 3-point road favorites before the line climbed a full three points. As for the total, the number hit the board at 47 before being bet up to 47.5.
Philadelphia enters play with an 8-1 record and is 3-1 on the road this season. Dallas is 5-4 overall and 2-2 at home. From a betting standpoint, the Eagles have covered the spread in seven of their nine games this season. The Cowboys have covered in five of their nine games.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are a perfect 6-0 against the spread in their last six games overall and are 4-1 against the number in their last five road games as well. They’re a perfect 6-0 against the spread in their last six games coming off a straight up win as well. They’re 4-1 at the betting window in their last four divisional games.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games versus a team with a winning record. They’re 9-21-1 against the spread in their last 31 games played on fieldturf. They’re also 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.
Our Prediction
Dallas is in trouble. Tyron Smith, Sean Lee and Ezekiel Elliott will all miss tonight’s game. With Smith out last week, the Falcons sacked Dak Prescott eight times and the Eagles’ pass rush is better than Atlanta’s. Opponents are also able to run the ball against the Cowboys when Lee doesn’t play and Elliott is arguably the team’s best overall player. Bad spot for the Cowboys.
