NBA Predictions: Will the Warriors cover vs. the Mavericks? 10/23/17
Can the Golden State Warriors get on track when they go on the road to face the Dallas Mavericks tonight at 8:30PM ET? Here’s our NBA Predictions for this game.
ODDS
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Warriors are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -11.5 points against the Mavericks. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 213 points. Golden State has won six straight meetings with the Mavericks. Tonight’s game will take place from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
WARRIORS
The Warriors are off to just a 1-2 start following a 111-101 loss at Memphis on Saturday. Golden State has yet to cover in any of their three games as well. The Warriors are averaging 116.7 points per game this season while giving up 117.7 per contest. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were both ejected in Saturday’s loss and Curry could be facing a suspension from the NBA after throwing his mouthpiece at a ref. He is expected to play tonight, however. Curry is putting up 29 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game so far. Durant is averaging 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.67 blocks per game.
MAVERICKS
Dallas is coming off a 107-91 loss at Houston on Saturday to fall to 0-3 on the season. The Mavericks have also yet to cover the spread in any of the three games. Dallas is putting up just 96.7 points per game while allowing 105.7 per contest. Harrison Barnes is putting up 17.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game to lead the team while Nerlens Noel is averaging 9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
NBA PREDICTIONS
The Warriors aren’t looking good so far, but the offense is still scoring. That will be a problem for Dallas tonight, as the Mavericks just don’t have the offensive firepower to compete with Golden State. The Mavericks also have some injuries that could impact the offense even more. The public betting is heavily backing Golden State and I think the Warriors will role tonight.
