Will the Lakers stay hot? L.A. travels to Orlando tonight to take on the Magic at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The Odds: Lakers at Magic, 7:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday

According to oddsmakers, the Lakers are now 2.5-point road favorites to beat the Magic tonight. The game opened as a pick’em before moving in favor of L.A. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 217 but has been bet down to 216.

Los Angeles is 19-30 on the year and just 7-16 on the road. The Lakers do have a winning spread record, however, going 25-24 at the betting window. They’re 11-12 against the spread on the road.

Meanwhile, the Magic is just 14-35 on the year and 8-13 at home. From a betting standpoint, Orlando is 21-27 against the spread and 7-14 ATS at home this season.

As of this writing, 67% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Lakers to cover the spread. Seventy-one percent of the money wagered online is also on L.A. Meanwhile, 51% of the betting tickets are on the over but 68% of the money is on the under.

Los Angeles Lakers Injury Report

The Lakers will once again be without Lonzo Ball, who is out with a knee injury. He’s the only player listed on L.A.’s injury report.

Orlando Magic Injury Report

Aaron Gordon is questionable tonight with a hip injury while Nikola Vucevic is out with a hand injury. Both Terrence Ross (knee) and Jonathan Isaac (ankle) are also out.

Our Prediction

The Lakers have covered the spread in five of their last seven games against the Magic and the favorite is 7-2 against the number in the last nine meetings between these two teams.

Los Angeles is also 4-1 at the betting window in its last five games overall and has covered in five of its last six games against Eastern Conference opponents. The Lakers are 8-0 against the spread in their last eight games when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game as well.
