NBA Predictions – Do Mavs or Kings Get Their First Win? 10/20/17

NBA Predictions Kings at Mavericks 10/20/17

Both Sacramento and Dallas dropped their NBA season openers, but in an 82 game season you’ve got a short time to rebound and get right. The Kings had a hard fought battle with the Rockets in their season opener while Dallas lost outright even though they were favored at home against the Hawks. Somebody gets one in the NBA Predictions Kings at Mavericks 10/20/17.

Odds

Sacramento lost by only five to Houston in the Kings’ season opener but that may have had a lot to do with the Rockets playing on the second leg of a back to back after taking on Golden State the night before. Thus, Dallas is favored tonight by -5.5 and is even heavy on the ML at -210. It’s not inconceivable to think that Sacramento has a shot to win outright, and they’ll reward you at +176 if they do.

Sacramento Kings

There’s high hopes for Sacramento this year and their young core played great against Houston on Wednesday. Willie Cauley-Stein (21/10) and Skai Labissiere (12/10) both notched double-doubles. Buddy Hield pumped in 19 and rookie De’Aaron Fox added 14 points off the bench.

Dallas Mavericks

The Mavs are playing in their second straight home game and hope the results are better in tonight’s tilt. There was a bright spot in Dennis Smith Jr.’s 16 point, 10 assist performance. Dallas actually had seven players score in double figures and got a positive contribution from Nerlens Noel (16/11). Noel is still only 23 years old and could be a formidable duo in Big D for years to come with 19 year old Smith, Jr. But first, they need a win possibly in the NBA Predictions Kings at Mavericks 10/20/17.

Dallas allowed Dennis Shrader to toast them for 28 points in the loss Wednesday and gave up 56 points in the paint. Sacramento features a big-man duo of Cauley-Stein and Labissiere that could dominate the inside Friday night. It will be a solid rookie matchup as well with De’Aaron Fox matching up with Dennis Smith, Jr. It feels like the underrated Kings should be favored in this matchup. The Kings are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Dallas and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 overall. That’s good enough.

Pick: Sacramento Kings +5.5
