NBA Prediction: Will the Warriors cover and sweep the Spurs? 5/22/17
Will the Golden State Warriors continue their dominance of the San Antonio Spurs when they meet up in Game 4 tonight at 9PM ET? Here’s our NBA Prediction for the contest.
GAME 4 ODDS
According to oddsmakers, the Warriors are the clear favorite tonight, as they are getting odds of -11.5 points against the Spurs. The over/under total for the game is listed at 217.5 points.
RECORDS
The Warriors picked up a 120-108 win at San Antonio in Game 3 to go up 3-0 in the series on Saturday night. The Warriors have covered in the last two games of the series as well.
Golden State is now 78-15 overall, 36-10 on the road and 47-43-3 against the spread. San Antonio is 69-28 overall, 36-12 at home and 49-46-2 against the spread.
GAME 3 RECAP
The Spurs were without Kawhi Leonard once again in Game 3 and then they lost David Lee to a knee injury early on. Lee will miss tonight’s game and Leonard is doubtful to play because of his ankle injury. With Leonard out, the Spurs struggled to keep pace with the Warriors over the long haul.
Kevin Durant put up 33 points and 10 rebounds in the win while Stephen Curry had 21 points with six steals. LaMarcus Aldridge had 18 points and five rebounds to lead the Spurs while Manu Ginobili added 21 points off the bench.
NBA PREDICTION
I’d like to say the Spurs can put up a fight tonight, but I don’t see it happening. The Warriors will have learned a lesson from the massive letdown the Cavs had against the Celtics last night. They won’t take this short-handed San Antonio team lightly.
The Warriors have too many scorers for this Spurs team to keep up with. While the Spurs may fight early on, the pace will be too great come the second half. I think the Warriors roll to another win and advance to their third straight NBA Finals.
