NBA Prediction: Can the Warriors complete a sweep of the Jazz? 5/8/17
Can the Golden State Warriors complete a sweep of the Utah Jazz when the two meet tonight at 8:30PM ET in Game 4? Here’s our NBA Prediction for tonight’s game
GAME 4 ODDS
According to oddsmakers, Golden State is favored on the road, as the Warriors are getting odds of -8 points against the Jazz. The over/under total for the game is listed at 206.5 points.
RECORDS
The Warriors established a 3-0 lead in the series thanks to a 102-91 win on the road in Game 3 on Saturday night. The road team has covered the spread in the three games in this series.
Golden State enters today’s game 74-15 overall, 34-10 on the road and 44-42-3 against the spread. Utah is 55-37 overall, 30-15 at home and 43-45-4 against the spread.
GAME 3 RECAP
While the Utah defense did a good job of holding the Warriors to just 102 points in Game 3, its offense let it down. The Jazz were just 30-of-77 from the field and 7-of-22 from 3-point land in the loss.
Gordon Hayward still had a solid 29-point effort while Rudy Gobert added 21 points and 15 rebounds. Still, Utah had just 10 bench points. Kevin Durant had his best game of the series, scoring 38 points with 13 rebounds while Stephen Curry had 23 points.
NBA PREDICTION
Golden State managed an 11-point win without playing its best in Game 3. Klay Thompson had just six points in the victory and the Warriors were only 9-of-30 from 3-point land. The Jazz are a good defensive team, but they can’t hold the Warriors back for too long.
Golden State will want the sweep tonight, as Cleveland just swept the Raptors and the Warriors can’t fail to come up short in their attempt. It’s a mental battle between the two conference favorites.
