NBA Finals Prediction

Will the Cleveland Cavaliers cruise to another big win when they face the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight at 8:30PM ET? Get our NBA Prediction for the contest here.

GAME 2 ODDS

According to oddsmakers, Cleveland is favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -5.5 points against the Celtics. The over/under total for Game 2 is listed at 219.5 points.

RECORDS

The Cavaliers took Game 1 of the series on Wednesday night with a 117-104 victory. Cleveland has now won five of its last six meetings with the Celtics.

Boston is now 61-35 overall, 35-14 at home and 49-45-2 against the spread. Cleveland is 60-31 overall, 25-21 on the road and 42-45-4 against the spread.

GAME 1 RECAP

Cleveland jumped out fast in Game 1 and never looked back. The Cavaliers took a 30-19 lead after one and 61-39 lead at halftime. As a team, Cleveland assisted on 21 of the 39 field goals. LeBron James had 38 points with nine rebounds and seven assists while Kevin Love had 32 points and 12 rebounds. Love was also 6-of-9 from 3-point land.

Boston shot 46 percent from the field and had 33 assists on 41 field goals, but couldn’t stay in the contest. Isaiah Thomas was held to just 17 points, but he had 10 assists. Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley each had 21 points to lead the team.

NBA PREDICTION

Cleveland left little doubt in Game 1 despite having 10 days off. I think now that they are back in game mode, they should continue to roll. The Celtics likely won’t start as slowly as they did in Game 1, but they just don’t have the horses to compete with the Cavs.

Kyrie Irving didn’t really have a great opener and the Cavs still rolled. If Love isn’t able to produce like he did on Wednesday, Irving should be there to pick him up.

NBA Prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers -5.5
