NBA Playoffs Prediction: Will the Warriors sweep the Blazers? 4/24/17

NBA Finals Odds

Will the Golden State Warriors close out their NBA Playoffs series with the Portland Trail Blazers when the two meet in Game 4 tonight at 10:30PM ET?

GAME 4 ODDS

According to the latest oddsmakers, the Warriors are favored at Portland, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Blazers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 219.5 points.

RECORDS

Golden State took Game 3 of the NBA Playoffs series on Saturday, 119-113. They now hold a 3-0 lead in the series and they have won nine straight meetings with Portland entering today’s game. The Blazers come into tonight’s contest at 41-44 overall, 25-17 at home and 41-44 against the spread. Golden State is 70-15 overall, 32-10 on the road and 42-40-3 against the spread.

GAME 3 RECAP

The Warriors managed the win in Game 3 without Kevin Durant or Steve Kerr. Durant continued to rest his strained calf while Kerr has been dealing with issues from his back surgery. Kerr will not be with the team tonight while Durant remains questionable to play.

Golden State had just seven turnovers in the NBA Playoffs win on Saturday. Stephen Curry led the team with 34 points and eight assists while Klay Thompson had 24 points. Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 31 points and seven rebounds while C.J. McCollum had 32 points with six boards.

NBA PLAYOFFS PREDICTION

I would anticipate Durant not playing tonight as the Warriors don’t need to risk him with a 3-0 lead as is. Not to mention, Golden State has been playing just fine without him recently. If the Warriors can continue to avoid turnovers, they should be able to handle this game. The Blazers put up a big number in Game 3, but it wasn’t enough to win. I am not sure Lillard and McCollum can have another 63-point night. It will take at least that to win.

NBA Playoffs Prediction: Golden State Warriors -7
