NBA: Bucks vs. Cavaliers Predictions Against the Spread 11/7/17
The Cavs are struggling but are they still a good bet to cover the point spread versus the Bucks tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET?
The Odds: Bucks at Cavaliers, 7:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday
According to oddsmakers, the Cavs are 5-point home favorites tonight versus the Bucks. Cleveland opened as a 4-point home favorite but the number jumped to 5 at most sportsbooks. As for the total, the number hit the board at 218.5 but it jumped to 221.
Milwaukee is just 4-5 on the season and 2-2 on the road. Cleveland, meanwhile, is 4-6 overall and 2-4 at home. From a betting standpoint, the Bucks are 3-5-1 against the spread and the Cavs have dropped eight of 10 games at the betting window this season.
Milwaukee Bucks
From Rotoworld: Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 points with four rebounds, three assists, one steal, four blocks and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes during a 105-96 loss to the Pistons on Friday. While this line certainly works, it’s not like the nuclear explosions we saw earlier this season. Antetokounmpo’s usage rate has seen a downward trend and he’s not getting nearly as many points in the paint. In fact, he had at least 59.1 percent of his points come in the paint for each of his first four games, but he’s exceeded that number just once in his last five games. Nitpicking aside, Antetokounmpo is going to be a monster this year as an MVP candidate. The Bucks falling to 4-5 certainly hurts his case, though.
Cleveland Cavs
LeBron James missed shootaround in order to attend to a personal matter but will play Tuesday vs. the Bucks. LeBron has been a beast this season, averaging 28.8 points, 9.1 assists and 7.4 rebounds, but the Cavs are still just 4-6. Cleveland will look to get back on track on Tuesday night vs. the Greek Freak and his Bucks.
Our Prediction
The Cavs have been a horrible bet this season but I’m willing to roll the dice on them tonight. In their last five games, the Bucks are 1-4 against the spread. They’re also 1-8 against the number in their last nine games playing on three or more days of rest. They’re winless at the betting window in their last five games versus Central opponents, too.
Tuesday NBA Prediction: Cleveland Cavs -5
