According to oddsmakers, the Midshipmen opened as 7-point road favorites but the line jumped to 8 at most books. As for the total, the number hit the board at 58 but has dropped to 54.5. As of this writing, 70% of tickets are on Navy to cover the spread.

Navy Midshipmen

The Midshipmen will have their quarterback back under center for tonight’s game. The team lost back-to-back games after starting the year 5-0, but Zach Abey is “ready to go” tonight after suffering a head injury on October 21. Thanks in large part to Abey, the Midshipmen own the nation’s top rushing attack with an average of 376.1 yards per game. Abey has 1,142 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Temple Owls

The Owns started the season 2-1 but have dropped four of their last five games. They lost 31-28 to Army in overtime after Logan Marchi missed the game due to an unspecified injury. If Marchi can’t play, Frank Nutile will once again draw a start. He was 20-of-29 passing for 290 yards with a touchdown and no turnovers in the Owls’ loss to Army last week.

Our Prediction

Navy is 1-4 against the spread in its last five games versus Temple while the underdog has cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams. The Owls are also a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five games played in November. They’ve covered in 20 of their last 26 conference games and are 6-1 at the betting window in their last seven games coming off a loss.

Thursday College Football Prediction: Temple Owls +8
