NASCAR Predictions: Who will win the I Love New York 355? 8/6/17
The 2017 NASCAR Monster Energy Series waves the flag on its last road race of the 2017 season. Here are our NASCAR Predictions for the I Love New York 355.
OVERTON’S 400 ODDS
According to oddsmakers, Kyle Busch is favored to win this race with 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Martin Truex Jr. (5/1), Brad Keselowski (7/1), Clint Bowyer (8/1) and Kevin Harvick (8/1). The I Love New York 355 takes place today at 3PM ET from Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York.
NASCAR PREDICTIONS
KYLE BUSCH
Kyle Busch got the winless monkey off his back last week and that could propel him to a number of wins in the coming weeks. He already is the only multi-time winner of this race in the field. His average finish at Watkins Glen is 10.083, while his driver rating here is 110.4, which is best of any driver today. Busch is a guy accustomed to winning multiple races each year. Now that he got his first, I expect many more to come.
KURT BUSCH
Like his brother, Kurt Busch is also a pretty good road course competitor. He is listed with 9/1 odds to win today. Busch has yet to win this race, but he finished 11th or better the last four years, including two top-5 finishes. His driver rating at the track is 93.5, which also ranks in the top-10 of the field. Busch’s point situation isn’t all that strong, so he could use a second win to really secure his postseason spot. I think he has a strong run today and competes for the win with his brother.
AJ ALLMENDINGER
If A.J. Allmendinger is going to win a race this year, it’s probably this one. He is listed with 10/1 odds to win today and I think there is a lot of good value there. He won this race in 2014, his last NASCAR victory. He also finished fourth a year ago with a good run. His average finish in this race is 9.375, which is best of any driver today. His driver rating there of 98.7 ranks third in the field. Allmendinger knows any chance of the postseason depends on him winning today’s race. I like this road specialist in a desperate race.
