NASCAR Predictions: Who will win the ISM Connect 300? 9/24/17
The 2017 NASCAR Monster Energy Series waves the green flag for the ISM Connect 300 later today. Here are our NASCAR Predictions for today’s big race.
ODDS
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch is the current favorite at +280 to win. Other short odds to win are Martin Truex Jr. (+350), Kyle Larson (+350) and Kevin Harvick (+750). The ISM Connect 300 takes place today at 2PM ET from New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire.
NASCAR PREDICTIONS
DENNY HAMLIN
Denny Hamlin is listed at +800 for today’s race and there is great value there. Hamlin is a three-time winner at New Hampshire and has an average finish at the track of 10.0, with a driver rating of 104.0. One of his wins came at the track came earlier this season and has sparked him to a strong run since, with six top-5 finishes in eight races, including another win. I like Hamlin to have another big race today.
JIMMIE JOHNSON
Jimmie Johnson needs to be in emergency mode. He comes into today’s race with +1500 odds and I think that is good value for a driver of his caliber who is simply in a funk. Johnson hasn’t cracked the top 5 in his last 14 races. This was after winning three times earlier in the season. With it being playoff time, wins are what matter. Johnson can’t continue his poor runs. He heads to a track today where he has three wins and a 100.8 driver rating. Johnson isn’t going to give up his NASCAR title lying down. Expect him to have a strong run today.
KURT BUSCH
Kurt Busch is another driver that should be feeling the heat. He is tied for the 12th and final spot after the first cut with two races remaining. A win automatically puts him in the next round and New Hampshire is a great track for that to happen. Busch is a three-time winner at New Hampshire with a 90.0 driver rating. He finished fifth in this race a year ago and eighth in the summer race. With +4000 odds, I think Busch is a really nice play if you are looking for a big payout.
