NASCAR Predictions: Who will win the Go Bowling 400? 5/13/17

NASCAR Predictions

The green flag for the Go Bowling 400 will be waved later tonight. Here is a look at the drivers we like to contend for the NASCAR victory tonight. Check out our NASCAR Predictions.

According to oddsmakers, Martin Truex Jr. is the favorite, with 11/2 odds to win. Other short odds to win this race are Kevin Harvick and Kyle Larson, who each have 6/1 odds. Brad Keselowski and Jimmie Johnson are listed with 13/2 odds. The Go Bowling 400 takes place tonight at 7:30PM ET from Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS. Here’s our three NASCAR Predictions for the race.

SATURDAY’S NASCAR PREDICTIONS

MARTIN TRUEX JR.

Martin Truex Jr. has had a steady 2017 season thus far. He is second in the point standings right now. He has five top-10 finishes with one win and is coming off his worst showing of the season last week, placing 35th in the GEICO 500. Truex Jr. should be able to bounce back this week at Kansas. He has an average finish of 16.8 at this track and a driver rating of 95.7. Truex is a guy that tends to take advantage of the tracks he is strongest at. Look for him to be right in the mix tonight.

JIMMIE JOHNSON

Jimmie Johnson has been pretty impressive at Kansas in his career. In 21 races, he has three wins and 17 top-10 finishes. His average finish there is 8.9, while his driver rating is 110.6. Johnson may already have two wins this season, but that won’t keep him from being aggressive for a third tonight. I like Johnson as the car to beat at Kansas.

MATT KENSETH

Matt Kenseth has 15/1 odds to win tonight, but I think he has some good value there. Kenseth needs something positive right now, as he sits 19th in the point standings. He has yet to grab a win this year and certainly needs one given his struggles throughout the year. Kansas has been a kind track to Kenseth. He is a two-time winner there with an average finish of 10.044. His driver rating there is 108.1, which is second only to Johnson in terms of best in the field. Kenseth has consistently finished near the front at this track. He can do it again tonight and possibly steal a win with some good pit strategy.
