The Pitching Matchup: Luis Severino (NYY) vs. Chris Tillman (BAL)
Severino is coming off a dominating performance against the Royals. The 23-year-old pitched eight shutout innings in a 3-0 victory last Wednesday. He struck out seven hits while allowing four hits and one walk. He now owns a 3.11 ERA over nine starts and is 3-2 on the year.
Tillman, meanwhile, allowed four earned runs over five innings in a loss to the Twins last Wednesday. The veteran surrendered three runs in the first inning and one more in the second frame. Tillman surrendered nine total hits along with two walks and is now 1-1 with a 4.43 ERA over four starts.

The over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings between these two teams but the under is a better bet tonight. That’s because the under is 7-2-1 in Tillman’s last 10 home starts versus the Yankees. In Tillman’s last eight outings versus the Yankees overall, the under is also 5-2-1.
Going further, the under is 5-1 in the Orioles’ last six games overall. It has also hit in six of Baltimore’s last eight divisional games. The under is 13-3 in Tillman’s last 16 starts against the division as well.
On the other side, the under has now hit in seven of the Yankees’ last eight games and is 4-1 in their last five games versus a right-handed starter. In the Bombers’ last seven games versus a team with a inning record, the under is also 5-2.
