PITCHING MATCHUP
The pitching matchup tonight has Kyle Gibson (11-10, 5.07 ERA) on the mound for the Twins to face Daniel Norris (4-7, 5.38) of the Tigers. Norris has been in most relief lately, but has allowed three runs over his last six innings. He has 83 strikeouts with 43 walks and a 1.67 WHIP. Gibson has been hot and cold, allowing five runs in his last start against the Jays. He has 109 strikeouts with 58 walks and a 1.55 WHIP.

THURSDAY’S RECAP
The Twins dominated Thursday’s game, scoring their 12 runs between the fourth and eighth innings. Minnesota racked up 14 hits while holding the Tigers to six hits. Jordan Zimmerman allowed three runs over four innings to take the loss, his 13th loss of the season. Dillon Gee got the win in relief, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings. The Twins didn’t even hit a home run in the win. Joe Mauer and Jorge Polanco each had three hits to lead Minnesota while Mauer also drove in two runs.
MLB PREDICTIONS
The Tigers don’t have much to offer right now. Their lineup is poor and their pitching is even worse. Minnesota has plenty to play for. While the roster isn’t impressive and Gibson isn’t a great pitcher, the motivation factor should carry the Twins to the win tonight. Gibson has actually won his last five decisions and the Twins have won in his last six starts. If you’re feeling adventurous, take the Twins on the run line tonight.
