The Pitching Matchup: Trevor Williams (PIT) vs. Junior Guerra (MIL)
Williams enters play with a 3-3 record, a 5.16 ERA, and a 1.32 WHIP. In his last start, he surrendered three runs on four hits in a 9-5 loss to the Cubs. He took the no-decision in that start after striking out three and walking two. Williams followed a 5.59 ERA in April with a 5.06 ERA in May and owns an identical 5.06 ERA in June.
As for Guerra, he’s 1-1 on the season with a 2.84 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. The Brewers won in Guerra’s last start, although it was a no-decision for him. He allowed four runs on two hits while walking four and striking out three. Walks have been an issue for Guerra in June, as he’s allowed 11 free passes in three starts. Home runs have also been an issue this season, as he’s allowed six long-balls in six games.

On the other side, the Brewers are just 2-5 in Guerra’s last seven home starts. They have also dropped five of his last seven outings following a quality start in his last appearance.
