Following a 5-2 loss on Tuesday, will the Cardinals rebound with a win over the Marlins on Wednesday night?

The Matchup: Marlins vs. Cardinals, 8:15PM ET, Busch Stadium

The Pitching Matchup: Edinson Volquez (MIA) vs. Mike Leake (STL)

Volquez enters play tonight with a 4-8 record and a 3.97 ERA over 88 1/3 innings of work. The veteran is coming off a no-decision in the Marlins’ 3-2 loss to the Brewers in Milwaukee. In that outing, Volquez has allowed one run while scattering three hits and striking out four.

As for Leake, he enters play tonight with a 6-6 record and a 2.97 ERA over 106 innings of work. Leake earned a win over the Nationals in his last start. He pitched eight innings of one-run ball while allowing five hits. Leake struck out four and walked three in the win.
