Tonight’s pitching matchup has Zack Greinke (16-6, 3.08 ERA) on the mound for the Diamondbacks to face Hyun-Jin Ryu (5-7, 3.71) of the Dodgers. Greinke is coming off a 1-run start over six innings against the Dodgers. He has 188 strikeouts this season with 39 walks and a 1.07 WHIP. Ryu is coming off one of his worst starts, allowing six runs over four innings to Arizona last week. He has 102 strikeouts with 37 walks this year and a 1.34 WHIP.

The Diamondbacks dominated the Dodgers on Monday thanks to the bat of J.D. Martinez and the arm of Robbie Ray. Ray pitched 7.2 scoreless innings, allowing only three hits while striking out 14 to pick up his 12th win of the season. At the plate, Martinez tied an MLB record with four home runs. He finished with six RBI and now has 18 home runs with Arizona. Adam Rosales and Ray also each drove in two runs to lead Arizona.
MLB PREDICTIONS
Ryu had one of his worst starts of the year against this Arizona lineup last week. Greinke hasn’t been outstanding against Los Angeles, but his numbers are better than what Ryu as done against Arizona. Greinke would like to be able to follow up what Ray did on Monday as well, so he will take on the challenge and lead Arizona to another big road victory.
