The Pitching Matchup: Jimmy Nelson (MIL) vs. Homer Bailey (CIN)
Nelson enters play with a 5-4 record and a 3.50 ERA. In his last start, he pitched just five innings against the Braves on the road, receiving the loss in the process. He allowed four earned runs on six hits while striking out eight and walking one. Nelson also surrendered a home run.
As for Bailey, he is 0-1 after lasting just one and 2/3 innings in his first outing of the season. He surrendered eight earned runs against the Nationals while striking out two and walking three. Washington beat Cincinnati in that game, 18-3.
