PITCHING MATCHUP
The pitching matchup tonight has Mike Clevinger (2-3, 3.89 ERA) on the mound for Cleveland to face Wade Miley (3-4, 4.29) of the Orioles.
Clevinger has been struggling to get deep into games lately, lasting just four innings in his last two starts. He has 42 strikeouts and 18 walks over 37 innings of work. Miley has been struggling lately, allowing 15 runs over his last three starts, a total of 10.2 innings. On the season, he has 66 strikeouts with 40 walks. His WHIP is 1.61.

Kevin Gausman allowed three runs in 5.2 innings of work and had nine strikeouts. He fell to 3-7 with the loss. Francisco Lindor hit his 14th home run of the season to lead Cleveland. He also had three RBI. Jonathan Schoop recorded his 21st double of the season and had his 43rd RBI for Baltimore.
MLB PREDICTION
Neither pitcher is coming into today’s game on a real hot streak. However, Miley has been the worse of the two and his hitters haven’t been nearly as hot as Cleveland’s. I think the Indians can turn to their bullpen if Clevinger struggles and that will be enough for them to win. Miley shouldn’t be able to compete against the Cleveland hitters and his bullpen isn’t too reliable.
