Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees 5/29/18 Prediction & Preview

Yankees vs Astros

Following the Astros’ victory on Memorial Day, the Yankees will look to rebound on Tuesday night. Will tonight’s game turn low-scoring for bettors?

Public Betting Information

The Astros are -120 on the money line to win tonight’s game against the Yankees, who are +100 home underdogs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 9 runs. As of this writing, 63% of betting tickets wagered at online sports books are on Houston to win on the money line.

Astros’ Morton pitches well vs. Indians in last start

Charlie Morton limited the Indians to two runs over six innings Thursday for his seventh win of the year. Morton allowed five hits and walked three but managed to avoid most of the potential damage. The right-hander also struck out five in the quality start.

The win improved him to a perfect 7-0 through 10 starts, and Morton owns a shiny 2.04 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 75/21 K/BB ratio across 61 2/3 innings. A tough test awaits Morton Tuesday when the Astros visit the Yankees in New York, but at this point it’s hard to bet against the 34-year-old regardless of opponent or situation.

Yankees’ Sabathia crushed by Rangers

CC Sabathia coughed up seven earned runs, six hits and three walks with just one strikeout across 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision Wednesday in Texas. Sabathia tossed just 58 of his 91 pitches for strikes as his ERA ballooned from 2.40 to 3.55.

He hasn’t won in four May outings, last tasting victory in a road game against the Angels on April 29. He has allowed four homers over 13 1/3 innings across his past three outings, an area which wasn’t an issue earlier in the season. He’ll try to turn things around Tuesday against Charlie Morton and the Astros.
