Heat vs. Warriors NBA Predictions Against the Spread 11/6/17
Will the Heat cover as a double-digit road underdog on Monday night when they visit the Warriors at 10:30 p.m. ET?
The Matchup: Heat at Warriors, 10:30 p.m. ET, Oakland
According to oddsmakers, Golden State is a 15.5-point home favorite versus Miami. The Warriors opened as a 15-point favorite but the line climbed a half-point. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 224.5 but dropped a full point to 223.5.
Miami enters play with a 4-5 record and is 1-2 on the road this season. The Heat is 2-5 against the spread but covered in two of their three road games.
As for the Warriors, they are 7-3 straight up and 2-2 at home to start the season. At the betting window, Golden State is just 4-6 against the spread and winless at 0-4 ATS at home.
Miami Heat
Dion Waiters (personal) will miss Monday’s matchup against the Warriors. He’s still back in Miami after the birth of his second daughter, but maybe he’ll get back to the team in time for Wednesday’s game in Phoenix. Justise Winslow drew the start in his place on Sunday, but was horrible, while Tyler Johnson and Wayne Ellington played well with some increased opportunity with the second unit. Josh Richardson should also see some increased touches on Monday night sans Waiters.
Golden State Warriors
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1611/stephen-curryStephen Curry scored 22 points with 11 assists, two steals and five 3-pointers in 30 minutes during a 127-108 win in Denver on Saturday. The Warriors tied their season-high 37 assists, and Curry was in a passing mood to start this game with seven assists in the first quarter, which ties his career high for dimes in a single quarter. After his epic 2015-16 season, Curry was somewhat down last year in both volume and efficiency, but he’s right back up there with efficiency at 49.7 percent from the field, 41.2 percent from deep and a career-high 94.2 percent from the line. Curry has also had consistently solid usage in each game and he’s on pace to shatter his career high for free throw makes.
Our Prediction
For one reason or another, the Warriors have struggled to cover the spread versus the Heat. Miami is 4-0-1 against the spread in its last five games versus Golden State overall. The Heat is also 3-0-2 against the number in their last five trips to Oakland. The road team, meanwhile, is 16-6-4 against the spread in the last 26 meetings between these two teams.
