The 2017 Quicken Loans National is set to tee off Thursday morning. Here are some golfers we like to contend for the win this weekend. Get a look at our Golf Predictions

ODDS

According to the latest oddsmakers, Rickie Fowler is the favorite to win this tournament, as he has 17/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Justin Thomas (12/1) and Patrick Reed (14/1). The Quicken Loans National takes place June 29-July 2 from TPC Potomac in Potomac, MD.

GOLF PREDICTIONS

RICKIE FOWLER

Rickie Fowler is coming off a very promising showing at the U.S. Open and I think he can build on that this weekend in a field not filled with many big names. This is a tournament he has done well at before, placing second in 2015. While it is a different course this year, I still think he will be among the top contenders. Fowler has made steps toward becoming among the top cut of golfers in the world in recent years, winning five times since 2015. He already has one win this year and five top-10 finishes. I think he will be the man to beat.

JUSTIN THOMAS

Justin Thomas has been somewhat of an all-or-nothing golfer in 2017. He has two wins to his credit, but also has missed four cuts. The U.S. Open also saw him have one tremendous round, but not do much else to keep him from contending for the win. Still, he has finished in the top 10 in two of his last three tournaments. He is coming off a missed cut in the Travelers, but he has yet to miss back-to-back cuts this season. I think this is a tournament that Thomas can shine. It’s not terribly competitive and he has shown flashes of his top-level game in the last month.

KEEGAN BRADLEY

If you need a long shot, I like Keegan Bradley for that option. Granted, Bradley hasn’t won a tournament since 2012, but I like his 50/1 odds this weekend. Bradley is coming off an eighth-place finish at the Travelers Championship, his second-best finish of the season. Bradley has made the cut in eight of his last 10 events as well, so he’s doing enough to get to the weekend. Perhaps his last start can spark a run this weekend. This is a wide-open tournament, giving someone like him a better chance to score a win. It’s going to take a little luck, but Bradley is a long shot coming in with some momentum.
