Golf Predictions: Who will win The CJ Cup? 10/18/17
The CJ Cup is set to tee off play early Thursday morning. Here are some golfers we think will contend for the victory. Take a look at our Golf Predictions.
ODDS
According to the latest oddsmakers, Justin Thomas is the favorite this week, as he has 15/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Paul Casey (11/1) and Jason Day (12/1). The CJ Cup takes place Thursday-Sunday from Nine Bridges in Jeju-do, South Korea. This is the first year this event will be taking place.
GOLF PREDICTIONS
JUSTIN THOMAS
Justin Thomas is coming off a 17th-place finish last weekend, but playing in Malaysia should help him this weekend. Thomas has finished in the top 20 in five of his last six tournaments, including three top-2 finishes. Thomas is having as good of a year as anyone and I think he will have another strong showing this weekend, in a field lacking a lot of star power.
PATRICK REED
Patrick Reed has 25/1 odds to win this tournament and I like that number for him. While he is winless in 2017, he is starting to show signs of a hot streak. He has made the cut in seven straight tournaments, including a pair of top-10 finishes. Reed also had a good showing at The Presidents Cup, so he brings plenty of momentum with him into this week’s tournament.
CHARL SCHWARTZEL
Charl Schwartzel has 50/1 odds to win this weekend’s tournament. Schwartzl hasn’t had a lot to be excited about this year, but I think he is a good dark horse option. He has yet to win this year, but has picked up at least one win in six of the last eight years. Schwartzl has made the cut in eight straight tournaments, so he has been good enough to be in the mix. Now he needs to turn it on over the final two rounds. I think he can do that this week.
