According to the latest oddsmakers, Dustin Johnson is listed as the favorite this week, as he is getting 15/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Jordan Spieth (12/1), Rory McIlroy (12/1) and Jason Day (14/1). The U.S. Open Championship takes place June 15-18 from Erin Hills in Hartford, Wisconsin.

DUSTIN JOHNSON

Dustin Johnson is No. 1 in the world rankings and having a great 2017. He has three wins and seven top-10 finishes in 11 tournaments. He is coming off a missed cut last week at The Memorial. Johnson is the defending U.S. Open champion, which is his only major. He has finished in the top 10 in six of the last eight majors he has played in.

JORDAN SPIETH

Spieth is 15th in the world rankings. He is struggling somewhat this year. Spieth has one win with five top-10 finishes in 13th events for the year. He finished 13th last weekend at The Memorial. Spieth was the 2015 U.S. Open champion, but he has finished outside the top 10 in his last four majors.

RORY MCILROY

McIlroy sits second in the world rankings right now. He has had an uneventful 2017 season, playing in just six tournaments. In those events, he has yet to win any of them with four top-10 finishes. McIlroy won the 2011 U.S. Open, which is one of his four major victories. He finished ninth in 2015 and has placed in the top 10 in seven of his last 11 majors.

JASON DAY

Day is third in the world rankings. He has played in 10 tournaments this year, but has yet to win any of them. Day has two top-10 finishes this year and is coming off a 15th-place finish at The Memorial last weekend. He has never won the U.S. Open, but he has finished in the top 10 the last four years. Day has placed in the top 10 in seven of the last nine majors.
