College Basketball Predictions: Will Texas upset Kansas? 12/29/17

College Basketball Predictions

Will No. 11 Kansas struggle when it goes on the road to face Texas tonight at 9PM ET? Here’s our College Basketball Predictions for this Big 12 game.

ODDS

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kansas is favored on the road, as the Jayhawks are getting odds of -2.5 points against Texas. The over/under total for the game has been set at 135 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas and will air live on ESPN2.

KANSAS

Kansas has won three straight coming into tonight’s game, including a pair of road games at Nebraska and Stanford. The Jayhawks are 10-2 on the year and 7-4 against the spread. They have covered the spread in their last two games. Kansas is putting up 87.5 points per game while allowing 65.7 per contest. Lagerald Vick is putting up 17.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game to lead the team while Devonte Graham is adding 16.8 points per contest.

TEXAS

Texas has won three straight since a 59-52 loss to Michigan. The Longhorns are now 9-3 on the season and 3-5 against the spread. The Longhorns have covered in two of their last three games. Texas is averaging 72.2 points per game this season while allowing 60.4 per contest. Andrew Jones is averaging 15.3 points per game to lead the team, but he is questionable with a wrist injury. Dylan Osetkowski is adding 14.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PREDICTIONS

Kansas has won seven straight meetings with Texas, going 4-3 against the spread in those games. Texas has shown the ability to beat good teams, but still lack a real signature win because they have folded late. Kansas has gotten back on track since its poor showing against Arizona State. I think Kansas steps up tonight and takes care of Texas. The public betting is backing Kansas as well.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL PREDICTIONS: KANSAS -2.5
