KANSAS
Kansas has won five straight coming into tonight, including a 70-67 win at home over Baylor this past weekend. The Jayhawks are 16-3 overall, 6-1 in the Big 12 and 10-8 against the spread. Kansas is averaging 84.2 points per game this year while allowing 69.8 per contest. Devonte’ Graham is leading Kansas with 18.1 points and 7.3 assists per game while Udoka Azubuike is adding 14.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma is coming off an 83-81 OT loss at Oklahoma State this past weekend for its second straight loss. The Sooners are now 14-4 overall, 4-3 in the Big 12 and 7-10 against the spread. Oklahoma is averaging 91.6 points per game on offense while allowing 81.6 per contest. Trae Young has been the clear leader of this team, averaging 30.5 points and 9.7 assists per game. He is shooting nearly 40 percent from 3-point land. Christian James is adding 11.9 points per game for Oklahoma.
COLLEGE BASKETBALL PREDICTIONS
Kansas has won four straight meetings with Oklahoma, but the Sooners have covered the spread in three of the last four encounters. Oklahoma has yet to lose at home, while the Jayhawks have yet to lose on the road. Kansas has covered in its last four on the road as well. The Jayhawks seem to step up on the road and play their best when they are underdogs. Oklahoma has been shaky. The Sooners are just 1-4 ATS in their last five and Young seems to be forcing shots and struggling with turnovers. I think he may continue to press tonight and will try to do too much in this game. The public betting is backing Oklahoma, but I like the Jayhawks to cover and win.
