Cavs vs. Nets NBA Predictions Against the Spread 10/25/17

Cavs vs Bucks

Will the Cavs cover the point spread tonight when they visit the Nets at 7:30PM ET on Wednesday?

The Odds: Cavs vs. Nets, 7:30PM ET, Wednesday

According to oddsmakers, Cleveland is now a 7.5-point favorite to beat Brooklyn tonight on the road. The Cavs opened as a 6-point favorite but the line was bought up. As for the total, the number hit the board at 227.5 but has been bet down to 224.5.

Cleveland Cavs

Dwyane Wade (left knee contusion) won’t play against the Nets tonight. It’s the second night of a back-to-back set, so there’s a good chance he was going to sit this one out anyways. Wade is averaging 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.8 blocks in just under 23 minutes per game with the Cavs. J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver are in line for more minutes tonight.

Brooklyn Nets

D’Angelo Russell (right knee sprain) is doubtful for tonight’s game. Russell apparently tweaked his knee in Tuesday’s game vs. the Magic, though he was able to finish the game. Both Russell and coach Kenny Atkinson downplayed the severity of the injury, but considering how cautious the Nets tend to be, don’t expect to see him play tonight. Look for Spencer Dinwiddie and Isaiah Whitehead to pick up the PG minutes. Caris LeVert will likely run the offense quite a bit.

Our Prediction

Cleveland is 9-2-1 against the spread in its last 12 road games. The Cavs have also gone 10-4-1 at the betting window in their last 15 games coming off a win and are 8-2-1 against the spread in their last 11 road games when playing a team with a winning home record.

On the other side, the Nets are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games versus a team with a road winning percentage of greater than .600. They’re also just 1-6 at the betting window in their last seven home games versus a team with a winning road record.

Wednesday NBA Prediction: Cleveland Cavs -7.5
